Police investigating a serious sex attack in Halifax town centre have released CCTV images of men they would like to trace.

The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) would like to speak to anyone who has information or witnessed the incident against a 19-year-old woman, reported to have taken place at around 4am in a doorway in Crossley Street.

They would like to speak to four men, pictured, who are believed to have been near the scene and possibly spoken to the victim.

It is thought they may have information about what happened. The officer leading the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Jon Morgan, said: “Despite the time of the day there were plenty of people around Halifax town centre at the time. If you were one of those people then please come forward with information.”

Anyone who has information about the attack on Friday March 29, or who can help trace the four men who saw or who may have seen what happened should contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team at West Yorkshire Police on 101 or CrimeStoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
