Police are appealing for witnesses to an arson attack on a take away in Kirkburton, Huddersfield, in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called to the building on North Road at around 12.15am today, after a bottle filled with a lit accelerant was thrown through the door of the property.
The take away was closing for the night at the time of the incident, with only one member of staff in the building.
There were no injuries but the building was extensively damaged by the fire.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone who saw a man enter the takeaway at around 11.30pm to contact them.
This man was in his mid to late 20s and had short brown hair. He was clean shaven and wearing a black waist-length coat and dark coloured bottoms.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Constable Simon Thomas at Huddersfield CID via 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
