ARTISTIC youngsters have helped a charity raise more than £1,000 for the Forget Me Not trust.

Bailiff Bridge Junior and Infants School have worked for weeks getting their art exhibition ready. It was shown off at the charity’s spring fair at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre.

Volunteer June Smith said their input helped raise more than £1,000.

Arts co-ordinator Louise Lumb led each year’s pupils in a different project all based around spring.

Reception pupils made a wall frieze with other years making mosaics, salt dough plaques, 3D plastercine flowers and acrylic tile paintings.

“We’ve followed it through by making this the school’s Arts Week. The children have all enjoyed getting involved and many went along,” said June.
