Athletics: Course record for Waites at Silsden
Steve Smithies collected the veterans and club championship trophies and Anne Johnson the women's award when Calder Valley Fell Runners held their end-of-season presentation.
Tony Steward won the handicap championship and Lee Shimwellthe most improved runner of the year award.
Earlier in the day, Calder's Helen Fines had finished an excellent second in the Full Tour Of Pendle, a 17-mile slog in driving rain, high winds and poor visiblility.
Club captain Jo Waites won the Rivock Edge fell race at Silsden in a new ladies course record in of 57 mins 51 secs for the six mile event, which had a fast canal bank section plus 1000 feet of climbing through boggy fields.
Other Calder runners who used the race to sharpen up for the forthcoming Calderdale Way replay race were Jez Wilkinson (1:06:19), Martin Whitehead (1:07:33), Helen Lambert (1:07:44), Jeremy Godden (1:12:44) and Mick Banks (1:14:01).
