A MURDER inquiry has been launched into the death of a man attacked in Sowerby Bridge.
West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide Team is now investigating the assault on Richard Reynolds, from Halifax, in Wharf Street, Sowerby Bridge, on May 13.
The 42-year-old died in hospital on Wednesday.
One man has been charged in connection with the attack.
Detective Superintendent Paul Taylor, who is leading the investigation, appealed for witnesses to come forward.
“There would have been lots of people around at the time,” he said.
