Attempted armed robbery at Bradford petrol station

Two men, one armed with a baseball bat, burst into a petrol station in Bradford and demanded money.

The men ran from the premises in New Line, Greengates, empty handed and got into a blue vehicle, believed to be a Peugeot 207, which drove off towards Harrogate Road.

The first man, who was carrying the baseball bat, was of slim build and around 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing dark clothing, possibly a jacket as hood was up, and a mask.

The second man was of similar build and height to the first. He was also wearing hooded dark clothing and a mask.

The driver of the vehicle was described as Asian and of large build.

It happened at around 10.50am on Wednesday, September 4.

This incident is being linked with an armed robbery in Bradford around 20 minutes later, when two men wearing balaclavas and carrying baseball bats stole pairs of jeans from a shop in North Parade before leaving in a similar blue vehicle.
