Baby boy ‘was crushed by TV’

A BABY boy who died in the early hours of yesterday was reportedly crushed when a TV fell on him.

The four-month-old, who has now been named as Kian Edward McMillan, suffered serious head injuries in the incident and died later in hospital.

A 40-year-old man from Brighouse, thought to be his dad, was arrested along with the boy’s mother Natalie McMillan, 24.

The couple are understood to have recently moved into the house in Scarlett Street, Burnley, where the incident happened.

An ambulance was called there at 2.35am on Tuesday, and the police were alerted.

The pair were questioned on suspicion of child neglect and released on bail while detectives investigate.

The death is being treated as unexplained and the East Lancashire coroner is expected to open an inquest today.
