THERE were tunes a-plenty at Heptonstall Church as the sounds of Hebden Bridge Junior Band filled the pews.
There was a packed audience for the concert, which is one of the highlights for the young players, and their supporters.
Band chairwoman Alison Fairclough thanked all those who turned out on such a cold night.
“It snowed and was so icy last year that we practically played to an empty church, so it was great to see so many people there this year,” she said.
The band will be carolling in Hebden Bridge on December 22 and around the Christmas tree in St George’s Square on Christmas Eve.
