A GROUP of female staff from a Rastrick primary school will be baring their bras for a midnight charity walk.

Thirteen members of staff at Carr Green Primary School – joined by a 14th woman – will be taking part in the Edinburgh Moon Walk in aid of breast cancer charity Walk the Walk on June 11.

Three members will be completing the Full Moon walk – the length of a marathon, 26.2 miles – with the remaining women completing the Half Moon, 13.1 miles.

The walk – which involves women wearing decorated bras – takes place during the night.

Teacher Chris Tetlow, one of the three walking the Full Moon, said: “We did have a member of staff who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“She is now fully recovered and is well but we wanted to do some fund-raising for a breast cancer charity and breast cancer awarness.

“We’ve been training. We’ve been going on walks together after school and at weekends

“We’re going to get together soon to decorate our bras too. This year’s theme is Moulin Rouge so we’ll be decorating them in lots of red and black.”
