Batley Bulldogs 24 Halifax RLFC 34: Visitors make it two out of two
HALIFAX made it two wins out of two in the Co operative Championship after edging out Batley 34-24 at Mount Pleasant.
Fax led 30-6 at the break, with two tries from prop Dominic Maloney and further touchdowns from Luke Branighan, David Wrench and Shad Royston plus four conversions and a long range penalty from Lee Paterson.
Branighan stretched their lead to 34-6 early in the second period, before Batley hit back with scores from Ash Lindsay and Johnny Campbell (2).
But Fax held on to maintain their 100 per cent record.
