Boy's terror dog attack

POLICE are searching for a dog who attacked a schoolboy in a Halifax park.

The animal bit the 13-year-old on his leg, drawing blood.

The frightening incident happened while the boy was in Mount Tabor Park on Mount Tabor Road, Halifax, with his family.

A man with two children and two dogs - one a black German Shepherd cross and the other described as small and brown - came into the park and let his animals off their leads.

Both dogs ran over to the boy and his family, and the German Shepherd attacked.

The family also claim the man who was with dogs was abusive towards them.

Anyone who witnessed the attack, at 2pm on Sunday, September 5, should call PC Sarah Parkinson at Calderdale police on 0845 6060606 or CrimeStoppers, where information can be passed on anonymously, on 0800 555111.
