Boys’ Brigade welcomes Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team

The Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team visited the Boothtown Boys’ Brigade to talk about the work done by team members and brought along their newest vehicle.

The battalion is raising funds for the team and the total currently stands at just over £500.

Boothtown BB Officer Robert Batty said that it was great for the youngsters to learn about the rescue team and the best part of the visit was seeing the rescue vehicle.

Afterwards the youngsters were treated to pancakes and were given a tube of Smarties to eat and encouraged to then fill the tubes with coins. The money raised will go to the brigade’s fundraising appeal.
