A GROUP to help those affected by lung disease has met for the first time at its new home in King Cross Library.

The Breath Easy Halifax branch – part of the British Lung Foundation (BLF) – is free to join and provides an opportunity for people with a lung condition and their carers to meet each other, make friends and share information and advice.

It will meet at King Cross Library, on Haugh Shaw Road, Halifax, on the second Tuesday of every month, from 1.30-3.30pm.

There will be guest speakers on a variety of topics and weekly exercise classes for people with lung problems.

On their first meeting at the library on August 9, members heard from Jon Medcalf, area manager for Calderdale Library Service, and Lisa Wells, development officer with the BLF for the north region.

New members are welcome.
