Pupils came bursting out of their blocks ready for a fun-packed day of action at their school sports day.
Children from Hipperholme Grammar School have spent weeks preparing for the big event.
Nursery and reception classes lined up in the morning before tucking into a party and picnic lunch in the school grounds.
In the afternoon, Years 1 to 6 took to the field for events including hockey skills test and ball throwing.
Parents got involved in the action in individual and group challenges.
Head teacher Louise Reynolds said: “It was a great day and all the children enjoyed themselves, especially the bouncy castle on the obstacle course.
“It was also an opportunity for parents and children to come along who will be starting at the school in September.”
