15 jobs axed by legal publishers

LEGAL publishers Sweet & Maxwell has cut 15 jobs from its content web solutions department.

Most of the jobs will go at its Mytholmroyd operation which employs around 170, and the remainder in the London offices of the company which is part of Thomson Reuters.

Elanor McGarry, vice president, public sector and learning, said the cuts were due to a contract for the supply of editorial services being reduced.

“There is a dedicated team on the contract and the whole team is in consultation for a smaller number of roles,” she said.
