A night to reward local enterprises
THE atmosphere was buzzing at this year's Courier Business Awards.
Businesses from across Calderdale packed the banqueting hall at Berties as they waited to hear who would be announced as this year's winners.
It was a chance to honour the individuals and companies who have made their mark on the local, national and international markets.
The awards were held for the first time last year and were fixed as an annual event following its huge success.
Guest speaker was Julie Kirkbride, Halifax-born MP and former business journalist, who told guests: "You deserve this. You are the lifeblood of this area."
Bernadette Gledhill, of the Louise Morton model agency, hosted the evening.
The raffle on the night raised 1,654 for the Mayor of Calderdale's chosen charity, the Forget-Me-Not Trust.
