Alison is setting her Heart on final fling
A Hebden Bridge arts and craft gallery has been put on a final shortlist for a prize at the Great Awards which take place later this month in London.
Heart Gallery, run by Alison Bartram and her husband Paul in Market Street, will contest the Best Newcomer In The North category against four other businesses in the annual ceremony, which brings together the jewellery and gift retailers industry.
"I am so proud to have got this far," said Alison, who opened the gallery in 2006 in memory of her late sister.
"I really don't care if I do not win. Although that would be just amazing and my dad would be so proud of me."
Heart Gallery displays a wide range of arts from painting to ceramics and more quirky items like fabric pictures.
The black tie awards ceremony which is organised by Progressive Gifts and Home magazine will take place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on May 22.
