Plans to convert an empty village pub into four detached houses have been given the green light by Calderdale Council’s planning committee.
The proposal by Eco Windows for the former Windmill Inn at Stanage Lane, Shelf, were given the go ahead despite reservations from members of the public and councillors regarding privacy issues. As conditions of the permit, the applicant will not be allowed any further openings and have no permitted development rights.
l Plans to convert a Grade II listed pub in Todmorden to a residential dwelling were rejected.
The proposal by Ms Sue King and Ms Jill Morony was for the former Country Friends Pub. Committee members advised the applicants to work with planners and submit a fresh application.
