Bank lends a hand to health
GROWING healthcare firms and practices can now get specialist banking support from a local team.
Lloyds TSB Commercial has launched the team of five in response to the rapid growth of the healthcare sector.
A range of financial services are available to companies and practices across Calderdale, Bradford, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield with an annual turnover of up to 15 million.
The bank supports more than 250 GPs, dentists, pharmacists, opticians and other healthcare sector firms across the region, producing a combined turnover of more than 100 million.
Graham Scott, regional head of healthcare banking services, said: "Businesses operating in the healthcare sector often have specific requirements and many West Yorkshire firms are experiencing rapid growth. With plenty of opportunities in the sector and a wealth of innovative and entrepreneurial healthcare companies in the region we're targeting a 20 per cent increase in our customer base over the next 12 months," he said.
