Dozens of local companies have sought support over the last 12 months from Business Growth Calderdale.
And, to celebrate it is holding an anniversary breakfast meeting at the Shay next Thursday (April 25, 8.30 am to 10 am).
BGC helps firms overcome barriers, increase competitiveness and help build the local economy.
It is a partnership between Calderdale Council, The University of Bradford, Leeds Metropolitan University and also Community Partnership Solutions.
The programme provides tailored business help through coaching and mentoring, workshops and one-to-one networking.
Cabinet member for the economy Coun Barry Collins said: “We have had a really successful year and want to celebrate what we have achieved as well as encourage new companies to come along and find out what we have to offer.”
The main speaker will be Judith Wright, of Wright Angle Marketing which she set up 12 years ago.
“I can’t praise BGC enough. It helps small local companies in so many different ways from providing marketing and management skills to finding buyers and suppliers,” she said.
“I hope people come along to find out more.”
Jackie Cox, of Liquid Lens, a Halifax video production business, will talk about how BGC helped her company overcome barriers and move forward.
