Hebden Bridge is bracing itself for an influx of world class tech talent in August as the second annual Wuthering Bytes technology festival takes place over three days at Hebden Bridge Town Hall.

Highlights include: a rocket engine demo from space propulsion experts AEL; an appearance by Sophie Wilson, the co-inventor of the BBC-B and the ARM processor that powers billions of smartphones across the world; a discussion of spying, digital rights and privacy with the Open Rights Group; robotic musicians; live music; and a workshop to build a flood early warning system for Hebden Bridge. Attendees get an goodie bag. It takes place on August 15, 16 and 17. Tickets are £10 per day, see for info.
