Cricketer is bowled over by firm's support

Gale was rewarded with a benefit year after more than a decade of service to the county.

The 32 year old - the club’s youngest captain since the 1930s when he was appointed in 2009 - is one of the most successful and notable figures in the history of Yorkshire cricket.

He will be holding a series of events to help raise money for the Professional Cricketers Association Benevolent Fund, the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and the Yorkshire Children’s Trust - a small local children’s charity based in Halifax, offering grants to families with sick or disabled children.

Abzorb manage the telecommunications for organisations such as University College London and the Campanile Hotel Group.

They have twice been named Mobile Distributor of the Year at the Comms National Awards.

They employ around 60 people and also have a university placement scheme in operation.

Andrew said: “Being awarded a benefit year is a huge privilege and honour, and the icing on the cake after a few successful years.

“I have known about Abzorb for quite a while after seeing their generosity with the Huddersfield Town Foundation and I’m now excited to work alongside them throughout my benefit year.”
