A Halifax woman is in the running for the First Woman in Science and Technology Award.
Dawn Walker is programme director at Lloyds Banking Group and has swiftly climbed the career ladder since joining the company in 1999.
Now in their ninth year, the awards were founded by Real Business and the CBI, and have recognised a host of first women over the years, who are paving the way for future generations of females.
Dawn said: “Honestly I am blown away to have been nominated and short-listed alongside some incredible women by just doing what I do well every day and actively seeking out opportunities to bring others along with me. I have huge support from my employer to lead our female colleagues across the technology function, and for this to be recognised through this award is just wonderful.”
The awards ceremony takes place on June 12 at the London Marriott Hotel.
