An award-winning Halifax motorhome dealer has been judged the best in the UK by an industry magazine.

Richard Baldwin Motorhomes based at Copley was voted 2013 Best Dealer for New Motorhomes by readers of Practical Motorhome Magazine.

The company scored 95 per cent in a satisfaction survey carried out nationally in print and online.

The business is headed by partners Richard Baldwin and Gary Morgan and has previously won the award.

Mr Baldwin said he was proud the company also won the gold award for satisfaction standards in the used motorhome category too.

The recognition for the dealership, which is noted throughout the UK, would help to bring the spotlight to Halifax and the West Yorkshire area in general,” he said.

Mr Morgan said the dealership has been winning awards consistently since around 2005.

And, from the 2008/9 season, further investment to their systems that have helped to improve further levels of customer service.

The business was formed in 1998 after Mr Baldwin sold his heavy haulage business and switched his attention to the retail motorhome business.

It quickly expanded and now occupies purpose-built premises at Wakefield Road selling and servicing motorhomes and holds the franchises for all major makes.

Mr Morgan joined the business in 2008 and brought with him more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.

It also sells Auto-Trail, Autocruise, Elddis and Romahome as well as a choice of quality used motorhomes.
