Morning travel and weather update

Motorists are being warned to take care this morning (Thursday) with fog making driving conditions hazardous.

There is reduced visibility on the on M62 between junction 22, A672 (Rishworth Moor) and junction 25, A644 (Brighouse). The advice is to approach with care.

Meanwhile, there is slow traffic on the A58 Wharf Street in both directions in Sowerby Bridge at the A6139 Tuel Lane junction.

Queues are starting to form on the A646 Burnley Road at Friendly because of temporary traffic lights, with one lane closed.

Traffic on the A58 Aachen Way in Halifax is busy but moving at the Queen’s Road junction. It’s the same situation for motorists on the A629 Calderdale Way in Elland at the A6025 Halifax Road junction.

There are no reported problems on the trains and buses.

Weather wise, there will rain throughout the day, with lows of 6C and highs of 11C.
