New manager part of jobs growth at ABS

ABS, which employs 32 staff from its head office and ‘tech-lab’ in Elland, has appointed Jordan Davies, who brings five years’ industry experience to his new role as business development manager.

Jordan, who joins ABS from Leeds-based competitor Danwood, will assist in the growth of the business in the North West, covering Lancashire, Manchester and Liverpool. His focus will be to secure contracts with small-to-medium enterprises and corporate clients.

Jordan said: “ABS UK really stood out when I was looking for my next challenge. It’s a very well-organised business and I like the fact it’s family-run which gives it a close-knit feel. There was just something that felt right about making the move here and I’m looking forward to building relationships with new organisations in areas the business is yet to target.”

ABS also plans to take on a work placement student who will work in accountancy, a marketing graduate from the University of Huddersfield, three more business development managers and expand its technical support department by with six more staff by 2017.
