The Department for Work and Pensions is encouraging workers to learn more about saving for retirement.
The transformation of workplace pensions will see all workers contribute along with their employer.
Larger companies already have to offer their workers a workplace pension and over the next few years smaller companies will be brought into the scheme.
The DWP is keen to ensure employees are aware of the benefits of pension saving and typically a worker saving four per cent of his/her basic salary will have that boosted by a further three per cent from an employer and on top of that the Government provides tax relief of an amount equivalent to one per cent.
