It’s jingle tills, jingle tills, jingle all the way.

Halifax retail tills are ringing out as shoppers hit the high street to bag some post-festive bargains.

High street giants and independent retailers are slashing their prices in the annual Boxing Day - January bonanza sales.

Harveys Department Store, Halifax, will slash prices across all departments by up to 50 per cent in an eight day sale from today.

Woolshops, Halifax, is home to a host of high street retailers joining in the post-Christmas sales including: Marks & Spencer, Claires, Topshop, Superdrug, New Look, Mothercare, River Island and more.

Independent retailers at Halifax’s Wesgate Arcade will take on the high street sales with Boxing Day - January sales.

Tony Murray, manager of Harveys, said: “We’re all sales go as of December 27 - customers will see some fantastic savings across all departments.”

The store will also be open all weekend including Sunday December 29 from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
