Snow forecast for this evening: Traffic and weather round up

The Met Office has issued a warning of ice through Calderdale this morning (Friday).

And temperatures are set to drop later this evening with light snow being forecast, this will turn to sleet in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

It will remain mostly sunny this morning though before clouding over during the afternoon.

A wet day is predicted for Saturday with temperatures expected to reach seven degrees celsius. Sunday will be cloudy.

Traffic is moving slowly on the A58 Leeds Road in both directions in Hipperholme between the Upper Sutherland Road junction and the A58 Halifax Road junction.

There is traffic congestion on the A644 Wakefield Road eastbound between Brighouse and the A62 Cooper Bridge Road junction.

The A58 Aachen Way in Halifax is busy but moving at the Queen’s Road junction.

Traffic is moving slowly on the A629 Calderdale Way in both directions in Elland at the A6025 Halifax Road junction.

The A629 Cow Green in Halifax is busy but moving in both directions at the Bull Green junction.
