Telecoms company buys mobile phone repair firm

Mytholmroyd-based telecoms company Commsprovider has bought a national mobile phone repair and recycling business.

MPRO – Mobile Phone Recycling Organisation – was established in Keighley in 2007 by managing director Johann Shepherd.

For the past three years it has been based in Bradford and has now been integrated into Commsprovider’s head office operation at the Moderna Business Park.

The repair centre is staffed by experienced technicians and is equipped with state-of-the-art test equipment, with all repairs carrying guarantees.

The recycling division purchases any redundant handsets, whether working or non-working, removes all data and then disposes of them safely.

Luke Hayes, Commsprovider managing partner, said: “MPRO is a fantastic business to add to our core service portfolio, allowing us to offer a market-leading repair service for mobile devices.“
