The team from local at-home care company, Home Instead Senior Care has swapped their Christmas party to support the homeless community in Calderdale.
The ten strong office team were about to organise their Christmas party, when they decided that the vulnerable homeless community living in and around Calderdale had a greater need for the money than they did.
Over £250 which would have been used to provide the staff Christmas party will now be spent on clothes, food and blankets to support vulnerable homeless people in the local area.
Home Instead is encouraging the local community to get involved by donating warm clothes, blankets and food to the cause, using their Southgate office as a drop off zone for the gifts, which will be distributed by the Home Instead team on December 6.
Satinder Salona, owner of Home Instead Senior Care said: “Here at Home Instead we provide companionship led care to older people living across Calderdale.
“We would love everyone to get involved with this initiative, donations of clothes, food and blankets would all be appreciated and can be dropped off in between 9am and 5pm at our office, 14-16 Southgate, Elland.”
