Apprentice Charlotte Blowers from the Exceed Hair Academy Hair Salons in Halifax was the winner of the Intermediate Apprentice of the Year at the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Apprenticeship Awards.

The awards celebrate both employers and individual apprentices in the area for all their hard work, and showcase the many success stories and the benefits of apprenticeships.

Charlotte said: “I chose an apprenticeship as it was a more suitable career path for me. I am able to learn more whilst watching highly trained professionals in my career. The one main benefit is also earning money whilst I was learning the profession.

“Exceed has given me the confidence and people skills to get me where I need to be in the career, throughout my training I have been awarded several different trophies and certificates to show how I have progressed.”
