The Halifax Courier building is on the market as we prepare to relocate to new offices in the town centre.
For sale signs have been put up at our base in King Cross Street this week.
The property is being marketed through Halifax estate agent Keith Cannon who has offices in Harrison Road.
“The Courier building is one of the iconic buildings of the town,” he said.
“It has great potential for offices or a variety of alternative uses and will be advertised not just in Halifax but nationally.”
Staff at the Courier will remain in the town and will move to new premises soon.
Courier Editor John Kenealy said: “This building is now too big for our purposes. Many of our staff spend most of their time out and about in the district with their mobile phone cameras and lap-tops. We now need something more suitable. It is an exciting time for the Courier and we will be able to provide more details about our new base in due course.”
