Employment site finished at Copley Valley project

A regeneration project in the Copley Valley has seen the completion of four warehouses which will bring hundreds of jobs to the area.

Marshall CDP Construction Group and Gen R8 Developments have now completed the construction phase of the employment site.

Two of the units have been handed over to the first purchasers BCA Group and D Sales (UK). The other warehouses remain available with Walker Singleton of Halifax.

The Copley Valley Regeneration project will also see 148 homes built delivered in partnership with national house builder Taylor Wimpey PLC.

A new nature reserve will also be delivered as part of this major project.

The European Regional Development Fund for the Yorkshire and Humber region part-funded elements of the site’s infrastructure including extensive land remediation and civil engineering works.

This includes the new highway linking Hollas Lane with Holmes Road. To acknowledge this support a special plaque was unveiled on site.
