A Calderdale factory is celebrating after landing a lucrative contract with a major company.

The ISCAL factory in Ovenden is one of the country’s leading manufacturers of coasters, napkins and other tissue based products, and helps local people with disabilities move into employment.

ISCAL already has a number of high profile customers including Harvey Nichols and Holiday Inn, but they’ve now had a substantial order from British Airways for around 2 million coasters per month. This will eventually increase to 2.5million per month, meaning that they will be producing around 30 million coasters for the company each year.

The cope with this increased demand, ISCAL has invested in some new machinery, allowing them to pack more coasters and produce more per minute.
