Elland digital communications agency The Mill Group has produced a new package of support films for housing associations to help tenants to improve their budgeting skills.
Four out of 10 letting agents questioned had seen a rise in the number of tenants having problems paying rent, according to the Association of Residential Letting Agents.
The Money Made Simple package of films helps social landlords give effective, practical advice to tenants on how best to budget and effectively organise their cash flow. It can be posted out as a DVD and posted on an organisation’s website for universal access.
Topics covered include bank accounts and savings, credit and a directory of useful contacts.
Marketing director David Fawcett said: “At a time when the recession is still very much apparent this product is ideal to give people the help they need.”
New Linx Housing Trust is one of the first housing associations to use the product and intends to post out DVDs to all of its 6,500 tenants.
