A company supplying plastic injection moulded products is looking to continue growing in 2013.
AD Plastics Solutions Ltd, of Moderna Business Park, Mytholmroyd, recently took on six staff to boost its workforce to 16.
And, managing director Andrew Painter is confident steady growth will continue despite the tough economic times.
He said the firm didn’t concentrate on any particular area and was successfully picking up business from customers around the country.
“We have kept up-to-date by investing in people and machines and moving premises,” said Mr Painter.
During the last 12 months the firm has invested in three Negri Bossi machines and was supported by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
Mr Painter runs the business with his wife Carole and it was set up 10 years ago. In 2011 it moved from Sowerby Bridge into larger premises to facilitate growth.
He said it was important to have good teams in and out of work and he is grateful for all the help given by support groups.
They include Interserve Working Futures, Halifax, which had matched new staff with AD’s requirements.
“There is help out there for small businesses,” said Mr Painter.
“But, you have to know how to get heard and not be afraid to ask.
“If you tell people what they want then most of them will help you get there.
“We have a good team around us and a good support network including accountants, solicitors, landlord and in particular our customers.”
Mr Painter said where possible AD Plastics used local companies for its supply chain.
