A THEATRICAL staging firm has joined forces with the Courier, sponsoring our I Love Sowerby Bridge campaign.#

J&C Joel of Corporation Street, Sowerby Bridge, has supplied some of the biggest shows and exhibitions throughout the world,

The company has offices in Dubai, Hong Kong and South Africa – but its roots are still in Sowerby Bridge where its HQ has been for two decades.

That’s why the business has stepped on board as the proud sponsor of the I Love Sowerby Bridge campaign, a six-week focus on the flourishing town on the edge of Halifax.

James Wheelwright, chief executive of the company, said: “J&C Joel owes a lot to Sowerby Bridge. It’s been our home for more than 20 years and most of our staff live here.

“This campaign gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation for the town and we want to help people realise what a special place it is.”

Courier managing director Helen Oldham said she was delighted to be teaming up with the firm. “We’re thrilled that James and the J&C Joel staff have decided to join our campaign to heighten the profile of Sowerby Bridge,” she said.

“As a major employer and international business they epitomise the aspiration that we want to encourage in all businesses in the area.

“This project is highlighting the many great, and often unrecognised activities in Sowerby and inspiring others to follow.’
