A FLOORING company is hoping to continue its success after unveiling its new showroom.

Russell Flooring, based at Water Lane, Halifax, had previously used its office space to showcase its products.

“Essentially the main part of the building has been rebuilt with the roof being raised by four feet,” said Jason Sutcliffe, company director.

“The staff really love have their own space now even though they were a bit worreied initially.

“We’ve been here since 1981 and we believe we have the largest vinyl range in West Yorkshire so we needed a space to showcase it.”

The work was well timed as dry rot was found in some of the walls of the premises.

“The building is 200 years old and there was dry rot in the walls. It was good fortune really.”

Mr Sutcliffe says the business is already feeling the benefits from the improvements with plans to develop into the future.

“We currently employ 13 people but we are hoping to grow and this space will make it much easier,” he said.
