Calderdale businesses received some top tips on how to make the right first impression at a ‘We Mean Business’ networking event.
The meetings, held at the Bailiff Bridge Community Centre, are the perfect opportunity for businesses to network in a pressure-free environment.
This week’s meeting welcomed Deborah Ogden- an experienced specialist in professional image, non-verbal communication and confidence building,
Group Leader, Rachel Gough, said: “We saw a gap in the market to truly support and help people get more business, get help with issues they face both personally and professionally, as well as celebrate successes they achieve.
“Being in business can be a lonely place and we want people to feel that they have people they can get support from.”
We Mean Business, set up by Nikki Lockwood, Becky Ashwell, Rachel Gough and Beverly Shutak, aims to promote business and the economy locally.
By holding networking meetings, the organisation hopes to inspire positivity in those who attend and help them to develop the skills to network confidently.
One-to-one and peer mentoring sessions are also available, enabling business people to support each other and achieve their goals.
Networking meetings cost £10 and take place on the second Wednesday of every month, from 9.30-11.30am
