Covéa Insurance has created 50 new roles at its Halifax offices.

The new roles are predominantly customer service based and means the company’s headcount now exceeds 1,500 employees.

Carol Geldard, retail distribution director at Covéa Insurance, commented: “We’re fortunate to have a really fantastic team here at Covéa Insurance and it’s been great to create new opportunities for both our existing employees and those looking to join a growing business.”

Covéa Insurance’s rapid growth has also led to the company entering into the long-term lease of A&B mills, the last of the remaining ‘Great Mills’ to be renovated at Dean Clough.

The company has made a multi-million pound investment to sympathetically restore the six-storey structure.

he conversion of the 75,000sq ft. former 1840s carpet mill, into a bright, modern 21st century office space, will house the insurer’s current Halifax workforce of 650 and supports the company’s current and longer-term growth plans, with space for up to 850 employees at full capacity, cementing the insurer’s position as a major employer in the region.
