A Calderdale company has brought the thrills and spills of one the UK’s most popular tourist attractions to our fingertips.
Direct marketing company Reactiv, based in Elland, has created a mobile app for Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The free app, which has already been downloaded by thousands of individuals, has received rave reviews, with some people calling it “amazing and awesome.”
As well as providing information, news and exclusive offers and discounts, the app takes users to their favourite rides and shows and enables them to book instantly.
Directions, frequently asked questions and a link to Facebook and Twitter are also included.
Reactiv is one of the fastest growing companies in the region and has been regularly picking up awards and building local links.
Tony Abbott, who heads the company, is a director of Halifax RLFC and Reactive is now the club’s largest shareholder.
And, from this week the company extended its involvement in the sport locally into the amateur ranks.
It is now also the main sponsor of Siddal ARLFC which runs 14 teams from junior level through to open age.
The club’s ground at Chevinedge is be renamed Reactiv Park.
A spin-off for youngsters from the sponsorship package is free Halifax RLFC season tickets for all Siddal Bulldogs in the U-11 age group and below.
