More than 100 people attended the opening night held at BBK By Design in Sowerby Bridge.

The Griffiths family set up Bathrooms Bedrooms Kitchens by Design next to its Beckside Bed Company at the SDH Industrial Estate, West Street.

Halifax-born rugby league star Luke Robinson who plays for Huddersfield Giants cut the ribbon at the open evening where visitors browsed the 1,500 sq ft warehouse and its luxury brands.

While dad Paul runs the established bed business, his son and daughter Andrew and Clare Griffiths are building up BBK.

Clare said the evening went well and she is encouraged by the footfall which Courier advertising had helped generate.

“We are offering the personal touch were everything can be done under one roof,” she said.

“And, we are a local family using local businesses to help people improve their homes.”

The family hope people will appreciate dealing direct with the owners of the business as an alternative to the “big sheds.”

“We are open seven days a week and there is always somebody available,” said Clare.

The brands available include Lakes Kitchens, Hudson Reed and Balterley Bathrooms.

BBK offers home visits and ArtiCad technology design allows customers to view plans in their own homes first via 3D images.through to installation, or if they prefer, supply only.
