Elland-based Radicon Transmission UK Ltd, who manufacture and repair of industrial gearboxes, have won a prestigious contract with British Steel expected to be worth millions of pounds over the next three years.
Colyn Robinson, general manager of sales at Radicon, said: “We are very proud to be working closely with British Steel, we will be assisting them with continued cost savings by providing high quality repairs to increase the life of products operating in very harsh working conditions.
“It is great to see the British Steel name back and the investment being made to ensure we continue to produce our own steel hopefully for many years to come.
“We have a number of vacancies within the company to support our rapid growth.
“In these challenging times for industrial engineering, we are pleased to be creating jobs when others firms are making redundancies.”
