A new digital recruitment service has been launched aimed at finding staff in the engineering sector.
Johnston Press, parent of the Halifax Courier, is behind TheEngineerList.
It is a spin-off from JP’s successful online recruitment tool TheSmartList which, for a fixed fee, allows companies to source jobseekers via a pre-screened shortlist.
Employers submit details of their vacancy and TheEngineerList team prepares a recruitment brief against which candidates can be matched.
Promising individuals are screened and, once TheEngineerList is finalised, the employer can review the candidates and select the best for interview.
“This new service will utilise the strengths of Johnston Press’ established recruitment platforms to generate applications and CVs will be filtered by industry professionals to guarantee quality,” said Joe Slavin, Johnston Press’ Managing Director, Recruitment.
“Currently, businesses using traditional advertising methods often find that they receive very high volumes of applications that need to be sorted internally, whilst traditional recruitment consultancies can be costly.
“This offers a smart, cost-effective solution which we know guarantees results because of the great feedback we’ve had on TheSmartList.”
