AN INITIATIVE to get more women to the top of the business world has been launched – and has gained big company support.

Launched a month ago, The Pearls has reached 4,000 women who have been identified as future business leaders.

The scheme’s aim is to increase the number of talented women at the top of corporate Britain by working with organisations.

The Pearls has recruited women from companies from all sectors and regions of the UK.

Online support is available through www.the-pearls.com for members and organisations who sign up for the programme.

Its first event will be on July 13 at Kensington Town Hall but The Pearls operates on a national level with five events in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Founder Heather Jackson said: “The Pearls is instrumental in enabling more women to realise their true potential by better understanding themselves and their genuine business value.

“The initial support from corporate Britain has been overwhelming and demonstrates the pressing issue that this programme is directly addressing.”

The Pearls is one of four initiatives under the An Inspirational Journey banner.
