The nominations are in for this year’s Courier Business Awards.

Now in its seventh year, the event will be held at the Shay Stadium on November 14 with Look North presenter Clare Frisby returning as host.

Nominees for Business of the Year are Wilbys, Polyframe and Transline.

Nominees for Business Person are Martin Booth (Fan Systems Group), Claire O’Connor (Babyballet) and Georgina St Hilaire (Shaw Metal Solutions).

Nominees for Employer of the Year are Riley & Co, Suma Wholefoods and Wilby Ltd.

Nominees for Entrepreneur of the Year are Transline, Valli Opticians Group and Limehouse.

Nominees for Green Business are Sonoco, Pennine-Pack and Orchard Group.

Nominess for the Manufacturing Award are Fan Systems Group, Sidhil and Shaw Metal Solutions.

Nominees for New Business of the Year are Proms & Pearls, 3Gi Soccer and Andpak.

Nominees for the Small - Medium Sized Business are Babyballet, INK Digital and Insight with Passion.

Other awards on the night will be Lifetime Achievement, Innovator of the Year and Green Champion.

Halifax Courier editor John Kenealy, who was on the judging panel with Reactiv Media’s Tony Abbott, Adrián Moore from The Venue, said: “There were some difficult decisions coming up with this shortlist but we have a fantastic line-up of local businesses.”
