Waste management firm Orchard Environmental, of Elland, has made two senior internal appointments as it prepares to expand.

Justin Holley has been appointed operations director and Chris Leach will take on the role of associate director of sales.

Managing director Gareth Henderson said the promotions followed a string of new business wins for the firm, which manages commercial waste and recycling including clinical and hazardous waste and washroom services.

“Together they will be responsible for on-going recruitment and training to enable us to achieve our business growth targets.”

Mr Holley said turnover had grown steadily year-on-year allowing for inward investment and strategic recruitment.

“The next stage is to focus on further improvements to customer service and supplier relationships and the creation of more new jobs,” he said.

Mr Leach said plans were underway to create a larger, highly specialised team to cover the entire northern region.

“The last 12 months have been both challenging and exciting for everyone at Orchard Environmental as we have planned and implemented significant strategic changes.

“It is extremely encouraging for me and the rest of the team to see hard work being rewarded and plans put in place for the future,” he said.
