Partnership aims to help firms survive
BUSINESSES are being given extra help to survive and grow in the tough economic climate.
Growing Calderdale, run by the council, works with businesses to create the best possible conditions for their development.
Business Link Yorkshire acts as a gateway for support in the region, providing vital information and a referral service.
The Business Providers Network, where information is exchanged strengthens this partnership.
A recruitment service offered includes advertising a vacancy on a company's behalf and doing the sifting and selection of candidates for interview.
Entrepreneur Richard Bradley, director of AcceptCards Ltd, based in Dean Clough, Halifax, received such support from Business Link and Growing Calderdale.
He was helped with free recruitment, which resulted in hiring a new, local employee as part of its expansion plans.
The council's deputy leader, Stephen Baines, said: "With businesses facing a recession, Business Link advisers go above and beyond their roles to ensure that Calderdale businesses have the resources they need to survive and grow despite the economic downturn.
"We invite other businesses to contact Business Link Yorkshire for their free and impartial business support and advice to help guide them through the challenges ahead."
