Petrol stations close across Calderdale

More Calderdale petrol stations are running out of fuel due to panic buying.

The pumps at Cote Hill service station in Burnley Road, Halifax, are now dry with the next delivery expected at 7.30pm tomorrow.

The Shell garage at Salterhebble, Halifax, also has no petrol or diesel but is expecting a delivery at 10pm tonight.

Hill Crest service station in Burnley Road, Sowerby Bridge, is running low on both petrol and diesel and its next delivery is not until Sunday.

Crown service station in Wakefield Road, Brighouse, has run out of diesel but still has some petrol left.

The Shell filling station in Pellon Lane has just had a fuel delivery and drivers are queuing on the forecourt to fill their tanks.

Shell Springs services in Todmorden is also well-stocked with both petrol and diesel.

Earlier it was announced the petrol station at Sainsbury’s in Halifax has closed until 8pm tonight because it has run out of fuel.

The supermarket say they are expecting a delivery at 8pm this evening.

Others to close are Esso in Huddersfield Road, Haley Hill in Boothtown, the Total garage at Shelf and in Buttershaw.

It follows a frantic day at the pumps with drivers panic buying after fears there may be a tanker strike.
